Registration day is Saturday, August 31 at 10:00 am to 11:00 am. There will be a short informational presentation at 10:15. If you can't make the registration, either download the forms, fill them out and send them to the address listed, or call me and I can send you the forms. It helps for me to know who has signed up ahead of time!!!
Fall semester 2002: September 4 through December 11, 2002

Please be prompt. We are REALLY going to try to start on time as we have a lot to cover!!!

All practices at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Point Arena

Younger group: Wednesdays, 3:00 to 4:30 pm
There will not be practice on Wednesday, Nov. 20. (Thanksgiving holiday)

Older group: Wednesdays: 4:30 to 6:00 pm
There will not be practice on Wednesday, Nov. 20. (Thanksgiving holiday)

Dress rehearsal:
Both groups will rehearse and perform together. There will be a few songs both groups will learn and a few each group will perform separately
Wednesday, December 11 at 4:00 pm at Gualala Art Center

Wednesday, December 11 at 7:00 pm at Gualala Art Center. Call time is 6:45 pm.

Welcome to the second Redwood Coast Children’s Choir!

Singing and music is a passion of mine and I hope to give that same passion to our children. As everything is still pretty new, there will be bumps in the road as we find the best approach. My goal for the students is to make music fun and enjoyable.

This semester I am testing out separating the children roughly by age. My intent is to have the children who are ready to be a little more serious about learning to read music in the “older” group. The “younger” group will have the others. Younger children who have the attention span (and stamina!) and wish to participate in both groups could give it a try. I am open to seeing what works best.

Included in this packet are several sheets. Please fill out and return all forms. You can keep the informational sheets. Please let me know if any of the information for your student changes so I can keep current.

In the beginning, we will be singing without music, just to get a feel. If music comes home with your child, please make sure they bring it back to practice.

To simplify things, I will be providing snacks for the children. However, due to logistics, they won’t be anything fresh (such as cut up fruit). If any parent is bringing a child and wishes to contribute some fresh cut up fruit or anything else, feel free. I can always keep my snacks for another week!
